Individual, Couple and Family Psychotherapy
Paul is an advanced clinical psychotherapy practitioner, full-time core faculty member and Program Director of Southern Connecticut State University’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. Past clinical experience includes Clinical Faculty member at Yale University’s Child Study Center and Senior Clinical Supervisor at Wheeler Clinic, New Haven. Paul has partnered with and presented at national conferences that include Gender Spectrum, Connecticut TransAdvocacy, TrueColors, The Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and The American Family Therapy Academy. Publications include work featured in The Handbook of Systemic Family Therapy, Vol. 2, Gender, Sex, and Sexuality Among Contemporary Youth: Generation Sex, and The Handbook of LGBT-Affirmative Couple and Family Therapy (in-press). He is a clinical fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and past board member and treasurer of The Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to work in psychotherapy, Paul is a certified Critical Incident Stress Debriefer offering services following traumatic events ranging from workplace downsizing to first-responder triage on September 11, 2001.
Paul’s systems-based psychotherapy integrates psycho-spiritual development, rebukes systems of power and oppression, and emboldens clients to connect with their inherent health, self-worth and authentic power.
